Hi all. I just realised most of you haven't even seen my science fair product. So now I present to you a picture of my final outcome! Not that amazing, but it's better than what it was before. (A box)
I would also like to say that I am making a youtube bar with lots of Minecraft animations and stuff. Namely things like Honest trailers and songs like Screw the Nether. I will not be adding an eggs glide to Minecraft because of copyright issues not letting me embed it. In fact, the post with it embedded in it will probably not work either. Must check that soon. Also the label that states Student Blogging Challenge, I am aware it says School instead of Student. Also my last post linked up with the last and they were Defiantly posted on different days. All for now!

Hi all.
I finally got the tags working on my blog... last in the class though. A while ago I did a massive post about a story I made once, It has the tag "writing" on it if you want to see it. Anyways, it didn't have the ending. So now, I will reveal it.

He sat down next to Lilly and whispered into her ear. ”Trees can and will kill us, but that’s no reason to give up.” Lilly looked up and forced a smile but it didn't last. Through their misery, they heard voices. Gradually, they got quieter until it finally stopped. But the pair didn't care. They were lost, hungry, cold and alone. When the moon came up, Lilly managed to fall asleep but Tom couldn't even close his eyes. Many people will know that the stars come up with the moon. And you may even know about the constellations up there. And one of them is the northern star. If Tom had fallen asleep, he wouldn't have looked up. And what happened next may not have happened. If he didn't look at the stars every night, he wouldn't have recognised the northbound angel. He wouldn't have woken up Lilly and told her to follow him north. For something in his head told him he would find his true home there. They walked all night and feasted on what little berries they could find and heaved on. Soon they found the trees were thinning and berry bushes were becoming more common. And when the stars were beginning to fade, and the sun started to rise, they arrived at an enormous lake, full of beautiful white swans. One of the biggest swans stood up and came towards the pair. It seemed to beckon to them. Tom and Lilly hopped onto the swan as if it was the most ordinary thing in the world and then swan suddenly took to the sky. Tom whooped and Lilly shrieked in delight. With there new friend, they flew towards the rising sun. Why they didn’t go home or find the family they thought could help, I cannot say. But for the first time in forever, they were happy.

Any good? All for now!
Hi all.
Science fair went well. I came first in my category, (Year 7-8 Living World) But not the whole of Living World. (Year 7-13) Still pretty good though. I came home with 150 dollars too! My mum won't let me spend it though. The end of the term is coming up and on Saturday, my little sister Alyssa is turning 6! I also think Baymath is coming up soon as well, about another 2 weeks. My teacher is going on about tagging my posts, but I still can't figure it out. I'm going to have another go after writing this post. Also we got a pet bird last weekend. It's called an alexandra or something. He's green and is really noisy. He keeps saying things like "hello buddy," "go to bed," and just squawking. Mum said tonight that if he keeps it up, he might have to go back. He is a lot of fun but mum has a point. All for now! I'll try to do the tags one last time.

Hi all.
Today is the day to see if my science fair board wins something. The prizes range from $1000 for first and $600 for second. Along with $150 for best in group, (I'm in living world) And $20 for various other prizes. I also got in the newspaper and got interviewed. My science fair was about feeding MEALWORMS different foods to make them grow faster than if they were just eating bran. The newspaper stated my LIZARD grew twice the size and that is almost IMPOSSIBLE in only 1 month. And if I was feeding my lizard bran like the newspaper said, he would be DEAD. Also my dad was talking to a farmer some time ago about his barn that burnt down with 100 pigs inside. Later that week the SAME newspaper stated it was 400 pigs. Never believe what you read in the newspaper if you think it's even a little bit off. Or in other words, Screw the News. All for now!

Wait I lied... Today our class had to do a comment on at LEAST 6 other class blogs. I still haven't had a post for 5 months. Or 153 days. Just wanted to put that out in the open, how my classmates will go for there good friends first. 29 other people in my class and 2 away. 27*6 is 135+27 is 162. 162 comments and not one found my blog. If they were shared out evenly around all 29 blogs, (You can't comment on your own blog!) I should get at least 6 comments! Now people will read this and probably comment out of guilt but thats just as bad as not commenting at all. SO PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT ON THIS POST! And Think how many comments others must have got, some with
2 or 3 and others with over 10! Ok, I'm finished grumping. All for now! Sorry about that.

Hi all.
Remember what I said about Waimath? Well there's also Baymath which is pretty much the same thing somewhere else and odds are i'm in that too. I was in it last year and won third in the individual test. So technicaly I was the third smartest year 7 in New Zealand for 2014. And unlike Waimath, I got an actual MEDAL. Baymath has the cooler prises. Instead of cauculaters and 1cm badges you can win big trophies and medals. And BIG chocolate bars. The school social is tonight so after we can actually do PE during PE. Not dance.  Also I added a realy cool world map along with the skeleton down below. Trying to get the hacked flappy bird off Aryan's blog. All for now!

Hi all.
Apparently, my teacher thinks my blog needs more posts more regularly. AND they have to be about school work. Well I went to a big contest called Waimath not that long ago and came back with second place. It's a math competition. Your school enters three students to compete in a timed math competition with heaps of questions. Though it is boring to watch, it is a lot more fun to do. We came second to Fairfield and we each won a calculator that we already had, ( Jiarn and Aryan got them last year. I just had bad luck.) And we won a badge declaring our defeat by 2 points. All for now!

Hi all.
It's been what, a month? Well either way the school holidays are over and I'm back to school. My science fair is going pretty good and my super secret blog post was deleted so I have to do that when I get some time. My science fair is still about the mealworms and their growth rate. I managed to increase one groups growth by 30 percent saving $7.40 NZD for a pack of 100 mealworms. They are about $24 NZD per 100 usually so thats like 25% off! (Random fact: Women buy 80% of everything on sale!) Also I would like to thank everyone who helped me reach 725 Billion pageviews! Spam that red button till it goes blue! And that won't happen because it's red so just spam it anyway! All for now!

Hi all.
Internet's still standing up even though it should be down. This is a little poem that is a tad gruesome but you probably see it everyday if you have a bird feeder.

The mealworm is a tasty worm,
For every bird, It's head will turn.
They peck it till it's good as dead,
And pulp it up, And smash it's head,
Then feed their chicks and go to bed.
For it's a tasty worm.

I also have other gruesome things in my book for science fair like mealworm cookie recipes from the internet. Though i'm not allowed to put the recipe in. All for now! School holidays for me next week too!

Monday, 22 June 2015

Hi all.
Today we have a heap to do. Student led conference, science fair, and write a school memo. I want to know if my science fair intro is any good. My aim is to find out what superfood makes mealworms grow faster as they are around 26% protein. So 100 g of mealworms has more protein than 100g of beef, chicken, lamb, pork or fish! As you can see from my research below.

  • Beef:  18.4% protein
  • Lamb:  15.4% protein
  • Pork:  14.6% protein
  • Chicken:  22% protein
  • Fish:  18.3% protein
  • Mealworm:  26% protein
On the side of the blog there is a gadget with links. There is a mealworm care page. For my science fair I am using a different page but it will explain mealworms well enough. Did you know, Red scale insects are used as a natural food coloring in yogurt and smarties? I kid you not! Also 2/3 of the world suffered from protein deficiency in 1970. If we could breed mealworms faster in large amounts, it could help lots of people. Mealworms are usually a pes in kitchen cupboards and they breed fast and can eat through flour bags too! When they turn into a beetle they can lay around
250-1000 eggs in one go! The average is 400-500 eggs and they lay them in food usually, like flour.
All for now! Now go and eat some smarties!

Hi all.
The schools internet will be cut soon for a couple of weeks. The connections are already starting to cut. I've heard rumours that some of the rooms around 19 or so have NO power. If anything it's probably just the internet. Either way, my homework is to do posts about school WORK, not the school internet problems. First block we had a gymnastics test, Failed by the way. Second block I had a math test. Last block a science one. And next block there's a team hui. Boring, really. All for now, sorry for having so small posts lately.
